This week, our I5 Beavers enjoyed a very special visit: they explored the Year 1 classrooms, the spaces that will welcome them next school year, and some of the small but important differences they will encounter in this new stage.
Guided by their Year 1 classmates, they discovered every corner with great curiosity. They were surprised to see that the desks are individual, whereas in Early Years they are used to sitting together. They were also especially fascinated by the famous pencil case, which each pupil can choose according to their own taste in Primary School and which, without a doubt, became one of the highlights of the visit.
Another difference they discovered was that the toilets are no longer inside the classroom, but outside. They also heard the bell that signals the end of one lesson and the beginning of the next. They learned that, while waiting for the next teacher, they can use the time to draw in their sketchbook.
Every detail sparked new questions, surprised expressions and plenty of excitement. Little by little, Primary School stopped feeling unfamiliar and began to seem like a close, exciting stage full of new experiences.
Our I5 Beavers returned to Early Years amazed by everything they had discovered and very eager to take the next step into Primary School.
